  Beep Codes, Introduction

Beep codes are the beeps you hear when the pc is first turned on, they are designed to tell you what’s going on if there is no picture on the screen.

Unlike everything else in the computer world there is no standard for BIOS beeps, because of this each BIOS manufacture has created their own, very different codes. Because of this it is important to find out which BIOS you're using before consulting the following codes.
